Over 200 guests are expected to attend our dinner dance which takes place this Saturday night, February 24 in the Tullamore Court Hotel and will be hosted by Rory O’Connor of Rory’s Stories fame.
Starting with a drinks’ reception at 5.30pm, there will be a three-course meal followed by the presentation of JFC medals and music by The Lols with a DJ afterwards. A great night is in store!
New scoreboard
A new electronic scoreboard has been successfully installed by FSL Scoreboards at MJS Builds St James’ Park.
The scoreboard is a welcome addition to our facilities and would not have been possible with the support of Dawn Meats Group, KMK Metals Recycling, McNamara’s Bar & Lounge and Rebuild or the work of Kelly Ann Mealiffe in securing the sponsorship.
Lotto
Last week’s lucky numbers were 1, 3, 13 and 17. Sean ‘Count’ McCormack was the Match 3 winner. Thanks to everyone for their support. The jackpot is capped at €15,000. You can purchase your tickets in local shops or online.
Last Man Standing
A further four people have been eliminated from our Last Man Standing National League competition after London’s surprise draw with Tipperary last Sunday.
It means just 21 out of 135 entrants have made it through to Week 5. Next week is a double week of football and hurling. Those still in the reckoning will receive instructions by email.
Sympathy
We extend our deepest sympathy to the Sisters of Mercy and the Beirne family, Kilmore, Co. Roscommon on the passing of Sr Sacred Heart last week.
A pillar of the local community for over 50 years, Sr Sacred Heart was a sincere, kind, friendly, intelligent and deeply religious woman who endeared herself to everyone in who knew her. May she rest in peace.
