Funding boost
The club received some fantastic news last Friday when it was announced that we are to receive €54,000 under the 2025 CLÁR programme.
The funding will be used for pitch upgrade works and toilet refurbishments. A special word of thanks to Evonne Dunne and Sinead McMahon for all the hard work they put into the application process.
Join our ladies team!
After a very successful first season back in action, our ladies are already turning their thoughts to 2026.
If you are looking to stay active, have fun and be part of a great and focused team as well as being part of the community, why not join us?
You’ll find a welcoming, supportive group of women who love to train, play and laugh together. It’s a fantastic way to get fit, make new friends, and be part of something special both on and off the pitch. Grab your boots and come give it a go — we’d love to have you on the team!
For more information, contact Brendan on 085 101 6357.
Lotto
Last week’s lucky numbers were 5, 8, 9 and 15. There was no jackpot; the Match 3 winners were Bríd Finn, John O’Brien and Margaret Daly.
The jackpot has been capped at €15,000 until it is won again. Make sure to buy your tickets online or at Centra, Mee's Costcutter and Whelan’s. Thank you for your continued support.
Sympathy
Deepest sympathy is extended to the Fallon family, Shureen on Tony's sudden passing last week, especially to his son Alan who played for us in the 1980s and '90s. Tony was no mean footballer and hurler himself with his native Clara – and indeed Offaly – in his youth.
May he rest in peace.
Good luck
Best wishes to Niall O'Brien on his appointment as manager of his adopted Multyfarnham for the coming season. Niall gave tremendous service to us as a player before managing us to a JFC title in 2023. He also served as a Westmeath senior selector this year.
We also extend best wishes to another former Kilbeggan manager, Keith Higgins, and his Tubberclair team in their upcoming Leinster club IFC final against Sallins of Kildare.
