Division 5 v Multyfarnham

Our men’s Division 5 team made a great start to their All-County League campaign last Wednesday night when they won away to Multyfarnham by 4-16 to 0-16 after leading by 3-8 to 0-7 at half-time.

Jack Molloy top-scored with 3-2 with Micheal Coffey getting the other goal. Well done to Jack Leonard and John Victor on making their debuts in the full back line. John is the first Brazilian to represent us at adult level, so a small piece of history made.

Lotto

Last week’s lucky numbers were 7, 12, 17 and 18. There was no jackpot winner. The Match 3 winners were Anne McDaniel, Enda Fox, Diarmuid Egan and Rob Gannon.

This week’s jackpot is €6,950. Make sure to buy your tickets online or at Centra, Mee's Costcutter and Whelan’s. Tickets are also on sale outside Centra every Saturday and Sunday. Thank you for your continued support.

Last Man Standing finishes in three-way tie

Congratulations to Brian Melican, Darragh Glynn and Declan Kiernan who share the €400 prize in our Last Man Standing competition.

All three predicted three out of four winners in the final round of the Allianz Leagues last weekend. Indeed, they correctly predicted 27 winners out of 28 over the whole campaign and it was the first our competition has gone to the final week. Kilkenny’s failure to beat Tipperary in hurling meant that Aleisha Fitzgerald narrowly missed out on share of the winnings. All four finalists were let down by Fermanagh’s football defeat to Limerick.

Last Man Standing raised a profit of €1,240 which will go towards the day-to-day running of the club. A huge thanks to everyone for their support and to Mel Kiernan for organising it.
