Division 5 v St Loman’s

Our men’s second team secured promotion and a place in the All-County League Division 5 final following a superb come-from-behind win away to St Loman's last Tuesday evening.

Trailing by 0-5 to 1-9 at half-time, we stormed back for a 3-12 to 2-11 victory in atrocious conditions thanks to goals from super-sub James Finnegan (two) and Danny Scully. The result saw us finish in second place ahead of Castledaly on scoring difference and the head-to-head rule, and qualify for the divisional final against table-toppers Milltownpass next Monday, June 22 at 7.30pm in TEG Cusack Park.

This is a fantastic achievement considering our seconds were plying their trade in Division 6 only a few years ago. We will now have teams in Division 3 and 4 next year. Congratulations to the team and management.

Ladies v Athlone

Our junior ladies team continue their quest for promotion from Division 5 of the League away to Athlone this Thursday, June 18 at 7.30pm. All support would be greatly appreciated.
