JFC v Mullingar Shamrocks

We make the short journey to Milltownpass to take on Mullingar Shamrocks in Round 2 of the Clarke’s Bar Junior 1 Football Championship this Friday, August 7 at 7.30pm.

Both teams made winning starts against Ballynacargy and Bunbrosna respectively, so something will have to give. All support for the lads would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the men’s fixture clashes with our ladies’ Junior Championship opener against Cill Óige and our minor boys’ Division 4 League Round 1 meeting with St Michael’s on the same evening. Fresh from their Division 5 League success, our ladies get their Championship campaign underway in either Castledaly or Rosemount at a time to be confirmed.

Our minor boys open their League campaign against St Michael’s in Ballycomoyle at 7pm.

Gym opening

The official opening of our new state-of-the-art gym - located in the old handball alley - took place last Monday evening, July 27.

We were delighted to welcome the gym's main sponsor and former player Vinny Reid, who is currently home on holiday from Australia where he runs a successful construction business. Also in attendance were many of those who gave selflessly of their time to help bring the project to fruition. This new facility will serve the club well for many years to come.
