AGM

Our AGM takes place on Sunday, December 8 at 7pm in the GP Room of Scoil an Chlochair.

All members are requested to attend. Closing date for nominations is Wednesday, December 4. Nominations should be emailed to secretary.kilbegganshamrocks.westmeath@gaa.ie. Alternatively, nomination forms can be obtained from James Claffey on 087 281 9741.

JFC ‘B’ quarter-final

We are at home to either Tubberclair or Caulry in the much-delayed JFC ‘B’ quarter-final next Sunday, November 24 at 11.30am.

All support for the team would be greatly appreciated.

Lotto

Last week’s lucky numbers were 2, 19, 23 and 24 There was no jackpot winner; the Match 3 winners were Larry Claffey and Shane Buggy.

This week’s jackpot is €11,950. You can take part in our lotto online or at Centra, Mace and Whelan’s. Seoidin Rochford is also selling tickets outside Centra or at matches in MJS St James' Park some weekends.

Congratulations

A few congratulations are in order this week. Firstly, congratulations to our secretary James Claffey on his marriage to Claire Stenson last Friday. Wishing you both many years of health and happiness together.

Well done to David Fennell (player) and Damian McLoughlin (selector), and all the Castletown-Geoghegan lads on their famous victory over Kilkenny kingpins Thomastown which sets up a Leinster club SHC semi-final midlands derby with Kilcormac/Killoughey at TEG Cusack Park next Sunday.

Finally, congratulations to our former underage player Brian Tormey on his appointment as CEO of Kepak Meat Division Ireland.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Lennon family, Kilcloghan on Kathleen’s passing last week. May she rest in peace.
